1985

It all started in 1985, when I was born. I was born on the Wednesday 23rd October, about 22:00. This meant my parents had to rush from work, which was at May Wah Chinese Take Away. They drove in the car to Eastbourne District General Hospital where I was born. In less than a year, I was going on holidays all over the place. First it was in Holland where Kevin’s cousin was getting married. Then I was off to Sweden with my mother. Her side of the family lives there.

1986

Went to a couple of places… don’t know much. Not much to do as I was living above the take away and I couldn’t walk.

1987

Tommy was born! There was also a hurricane during that year, which destroyed houses, killed many people and Brighton’s pier was lost. We moved out of May Wah and lived in a house down Beatty Road, Eastbourne. It was a good location there. Shops was just a few minutes walk, had a conservatory and the bus stop was where the shops were. It was a quiet area back in those days.

1988

Lapse in memory. Can’t remember anything here

1989

Jenny was born! Started playschool next to Roseland’s church. They had great milk and biscuits. Their playground was a bit of a trash pile. A swing and a climbing frame with over grown grass covering the area.
