History 2005 – 2009

2005

    Started “modding” my car. Went to Thorpe Park with few friends. Had a fall out with Giles. But we’re o.k. now. Loads of crashes and cars being broken into. Nothing new and lots of work from university. Went to Hong Kong. Shit year really.

2006

    Got my industrial placement at GSK. Went to a skyline specialist called GT Art!! So cool. Started working for a real company (well one that wasn’t run by the family) at GSK. Moved out for the first time. Frightening. Had a sister brother sweep stake for the World Cup. Computer died. Seemed to be plagued with problems but finally gave in after about 3 years. Got a girlfriend.

2007

    Finished my industrial placement year. Got a MacBook Pro notebook. Back at uni and it’s really weird. I think I prefer working although the holidays are so much better.

2008

    Got an Asus EEE PC subnotebook. Graduated from university with a 2:1! Really happy with the result. Looking for work and found it hard. Eventually got a job at Vega Group in October.

2009

    Vega Group has become SELEX System Integration Ltd (a mouthful). I have been working in the London office for over half the year now.
    Terina & I got approved for a mortgage (sadly it means no new car).
    Started to get and implement a lot of house hold technology such as PBX system with Asterisk/FreePBX, DVR (MythTV), electricity monitor with CC128 Envi (energy@home), etc.
    Discovering the world of work and no more summer holidays.
