Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1

I took the leap of faith when I saw SP1 in my update list. It wasn’t pushed out to me but I was bored and decided to check for updates and found it in my list. Being so close to exams and coursework deadlines I had to either wait for a month or do it now.

As they say “Who Dares Wins”. The update went fine. It downloaded via Windows update and a wizard popped up when it was done but when I restarted it downloaded even more when it booted back up! it had 5 steps to do so I left it to run whilst I went to watch T.V.

When I came back everything was back up. All looked well and for what it was worth I ran Windows rating and one or two scores went up by 0.1. My CPU was still the lowest score with no changes, Copying files is noticeably faster and doesn’t seem to cause Windows Explorer to hang.

Other than that I have not noticed other changes.
